STANDARD AND CUSTOM ADHESIVE GASKETS

GIMATECH srl in addition to classic adhesive foams, expanded material gaskets cut from sheets in all sizes (from mm 5×3) adhesive-backed, has developed its own technology for adhesive bonding of shaped rubber profiles.

• We adhesive bond custom profiles in EPDM, NBR, VITON, NEOPRENE and SILICONE.
• We supply standard or custom adhesive profiles.
• We also adhesive bond gaskets supplied by the Customer for processing.

We can supply adhesive profiles in roll, cut lengths, single or double bonded. We use a wide range of double-sided adhesives, from classic rubber-based meshed tapes to modified acrylics and acrylic foams.

Custom adhesive profiles can solve many application problems, from construction to metalworking, from soundproofing to automotive.

SPECIAL PROCESSING

At GIMATECH srl laboratories, special processing is also performed entirely by hand, applying adhesive technologies for Aerospace use. Not only adhesive bonding of continuously extruded profiles, but also closed-frame gaskets with curved molded joints and opposing tracks. The application is performed thanks to the development of custom dies and dedicated equipment. Thanks to twenty years of laboratory experience and the development of cleaning, treatment, and adhesive application systems, adhesive technologies on gaskets are carried out in full compliance with the highest standards required for the Aerospace sector. USE OF PRIMER

Adhesive technologies often solve complex and sometimes unexpected mounting problems of gaskets on supports lacking flanges or seats for mechanical anchoring. However, these technologies must be managed appropriately to ensure reliability and a final result meeting expectations. The method of applying the adhesive gasket is essential: In addition to fixing on a clean surface and at temperatures above 15°C, avoiding tensioning the gasket to facilitate alignment, in many cases it can be advisable/almost always beneficial/often necessary to use a PRIMER. The PRIMER is a glue with very fast drying (from a few seconds to a couple of minutes), which, when applied with a brush or paper cloth to the surface where the gasket will be fixed, creates a film that adheres perfectly both to the bonding seat and to the gasket, ensuring maximum and permanent gasket fixation. This is a very simple and quick operation that brings gasket anchoring performance to the highest levels.
